What Can We See In The Future?
Hey friends - time to blow the dust again from the crystal ball and check what will be going on this year in our great hobby of RC!
Lets keep it calm and carry on during the strange days we're living! Remember to do things that keep you on the positive side and since you're reading this I would guess that RC - best of all convenient sized tech hobbies! - is something that you love.
So let me see.. damn this cursed item is dusty and full of my bosses fingerprints! After some unskippable advertisements the image starts to get more clear and I can definitely see a clear shape of a..
..a Rally Car! What is this sorcery! If I am not mistaken, that indeed is a very basic (cheap!) Tamiya TT-02 based RC rally car!
For reasons unknown, these really started to catch some attention last year and trend seems to keep on giving. I've been thinking a lot why they are suddenly so popular but cannot find one sole reason. And if there is one I just dont see it! Maybe it is a result of many reasons.
Builder Kits are getting popular, Scale realistic RC is always popular and sure, Tamiya Kits are at a very nice price range. While awesome looking, RC Rally Cars can keep up some speed too. This whole hobby is getting faster and faster every year so maybe the time of Slow RC such as crawlers has reached it's peak?
It also seems that rally trend is not only about Tamiya. Many other brands like Team Associated have continued to extend their line to cover Rally Cars too. HPI Racing and Maverick have been playing longer run here as they've had these available for a some time already.
Maybe the biggest reason is in the easy-to-approach nature of rally itself. Everyone knows what it is about and RC Rally Cars and Kits offer perhaps the best bang for the buck when you combine money, speed and realism making them very tempting for newcomers.
What is interesting to see is that does their popularity lead to larger success of other on road classes like good old touring?
This is also interesting - none would have believed that big, like really big RC cars make a comeback! Last year we've seen return of the mighty HPI Baja 5B but also a King of the Truggies, Traxxas 1:5 XRT. For this category I want to count also fresh new nitro version of HPI Savage XL 5.9.
I see few reasons here and one of them is the global economy. People do not have so much money to spend in their hobbies so they downscale.
With this I mean that they do not buy another full scale truck or another quad bike. And with a price of a quad you can easily afford one or two XRT's! And any large scale RC truck is like 1000x cooler than any quad ever.
But hey what was that?! Did I see an image of new big buggy there in our crystal ball.. No, maybe it was just an reflection.. I would be just too cool if there would be a large scale, race capable and high performing 4WD racing buggy wouldn't it? Nah, Cant see it again. Maybe I was just hallucinating.
What can be seen even without the crystal ball is the trend of saturation. Our hobby is getting larger and wider all the time and while some areas, such as crawlers are not growing as much as before it does not mean that they are suddenly somehow unpopular. They just have found their hobbyist base and folks who are mainly interested only about 4WD scale trucks keep hobby their stuff.
They may or may not be very interested about other areas of RC later, but at least they have found something that matches their area of interest.
So there is many of us out there who are enjoying this magnificent hobby from their own perspective. One is challenged by the heat of competition while another one is super happy to glue that last detail piece in and enjoy their amazinlgy scale realistic creation!
There are no signs that trend of saturation would be ending soon, or actually ever. Its like a fractal, every little piece is opening to a smaller pieces that open into.. We are really living at the world of possibilities!
If I think about the things I do not see here then two things shine out with their absence. First are Short Course Trucks (for a some time already!) and another one is quite surprisingly Stadium Trucks. Is anyone seriously competing with the truggies anymore? Or did they just secretly evolve to bashers? If you know the truth or have an opinion, let me know.
As far as I can see I do not see any return of Short Course Trucks but it would not be the first time that I am wrong. One of the great things in this hobby is that it somehow can always surprise us when you least expect it!
Okay the crystal ball is beeping due low Lipo voltage. Better put it back to its box without charging it first as we always do here at the shop!

Our shop automaticaly includes or excludes VAT percentage from the prices by the destination country. You can change the destination country from the checkout pages before you order. All our customers will pay the same price no matter the included VAT percentage. Companies who are buying with VAT numbers can buy products with exluded VAT according to destination country.

Basic tracked shipping starts from 4,90€ (GLS road freight) in European Union countries.
An international GLS parcel is delivered to neighbouring states of Finland like Sweden or the Baltic countries in a standard delivery time of 24 to 72 hours. To more distant European countries the international parcel dispatch takes between three and six working days, to remote areas up to eight days. Rough estimate is 1 week from order to delivery.
Please note that GLS shipping time is calculated in working days (Monday to Friday) and excluding the day when parcel is shipped.

• DHL Express and UPS Express are our fastest delivery options. Both options can reach almost anyplace in EU in 1 day, but some places take 2 days.
• Depending what kind of products you want to order the shop will let you choose from available shipping options.
• Both Options are also Door To Door Services. The Courier will deliver the parcel to your door. But they also have pickup points where they might drop your package off so you can pick it up when it suits you.
When you are checking out your order you can see a more precise estimate of each shipping option to your country.
We accept returns of new, unused merchandise within 14 days from the delivery. Please contact us at [email protected] to receive return information. The customer is responsible for any return costs unless otherwise agreed to with our customer service. We try to return the money with the same payment method that was used to pay for the order, if its not possible we make a wiretransfer. You can also request a gift card if you are making a new order to speed up the process.
We also accept returns after 14 days upto 50days, but we refund them with a giftcard to our shop so you can replace them with any products we sell. Please contact our customer service for details.
After we receive the merchandise and verify its re-sellable condition, we will refund the money or give you a giftcard. Depending on the item this will take 1-3 days after we have received the item. If there is a delay we will contact you.
Please note that all parcels that are returned to us because customer has not picked it up / accepted it or paid customs fees of it will processed. Handling and shipping costs will be reduced from the refunds.
Note! Every return made without notice via email will be charged with handling fee of 20€. Handling fee will be reduced from the total refund.
In the rare occurrence that the shipment has been damaged, please take pictures and send those to our customer service [email protected] immediately and we will make sure we get you sorted and back to enjoying our hobby. Also notify the courier bringing you the shipment that it has been damaged.
If you feel that your product is defective please send us a email and we will let you know what to do next. Most items do not have a warranty as they will break in normal usage. For example if you hit something solid or take a larger tumble. Properly used items should easily last 3-12 months and during this period we are able to replace broken items if they have a manufacturing or material fault. We have years of experience with different makes and they all have different warranty policies. We have chosen to work with brands that have a good understanding how to serve their customers and you can be assured that you will get the best customer experience possible with us.
We do not replace or exchange products that are not defective or broken by improper use or have not been maintained. But we do help and teach you how to do things properly so you do not break anything in the future, just email us and we will help you out. We are however unable to wrench for you, its part of the hobby so its important that you will learn that part also your self, we have great tools to sell you so just ask us what you need.
Note! Many manufacturers are strickt that electronics are not allowed to be modified (connectors changed etc.) without disabling the warranty. Remember to check this from your products manual.
