XRAY GTXE '27 is a high-end 1/8 GT electric racing car for serious competition use. This is the car for drivers who want maximum precision, stability and setup possibilities for demanding GT racing.
The GTXE '27 features an all-new flat 3 mm aluminum chassis that lowers the center of gravity and improves stability. The traditional front kick-up has been removed, creating a lower and more consistent chassis profile. The result is a more stable, more consistent and more predictable car across different track conditions.
The new GT Alu Backbone Framework combines the aluminum chassis, aluminum bulkheads and one-piece carbon top deck into a rigid and precise platform. This improves chassis stiffness, drivetrain stability and serviceability. Differential access is easier, and the updated chassis and bulkhead design also improves drivetrain cooling.
The motor mount has been reinforced and lowered to improve drivetrain alignment and reduce the center of gravity. The center driveshafts use HUDY special hardened pins for increased durability in demanding racing conditions. The new lightweight aluminum center spur gear collar reduces rotating mass and improves throttle response.
The chassis is built for setup work. New lower carbon shock towers, multiple shock mounting positions, aluminum shock adapters and fully adjustable suspension geometry give a wide tuning window. The front end uses aluminum 6° C-hubs and aluminum steering blocks, while the rear aluminum uprights with carbon link plates improve stability and precision.
The shocks feature new 3-in-1 shock caps, allowing emulsion, rebound and zero rebound configurations for different track conditions. The large 16.2 mm big bore shocks provide smooth operation and a wide setup range. The included front springs and 2.8 mm anti-roll bars are based on XRAY team racing development.
The electronics layout is cleaner than before. The carbon ESC plate gives more room for the speed control and cooling fan, while the receiver is protected inside its own receiver box. This makes the car cleaner, easier to service and better protected from dirt and dust.
